UX Writer (Youth Mental Health App) — Remote
We’re looking for a UX Writer who can craft clear, empathetic, and engaging in-product experiences for youth. This is not just marketing copy—you’ll shape how students interact with the product at every step. From onboarding to live sessions, your words will guide, support, and empower users in moments that matter. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical teams to ensure our voice is youth-centered, authentic, inclusive, and emotionally intelligent.
What You’ll Do
UX Writing & Product Experience
- Write clear, supportive in-app copy (CTAs, prompts, onboarding, instructions, notifications, error messages)
- Simplify complex ideas into language that resonates with youth (ages 10–22)
- Design microcopy that builds trust, safety, and engagement
Content & Messaging
- Translate TAMMIRA’s value into clear, compelling product messaging
- Contribute to push notifications, emails, and SMS tied to user engagement
- Support go-to-market content for new features and programs
Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, nurses, and clinical advisors
- Participate in wireframing and product iteration
- Ensure copy aligns with UX flows and design systems
- Attend team meetings as needed
Voice & Strategy
- Help define and maintain TAMMIRA’s tone of voice
- Use youth insights, behavioral trends, and data to refine messaging
- Advocate for the user experience in product decisions

Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of UX writing, product writing, or content design experience
- Experience writing for mobile apps or digital products
- Strong portfolio showing UX flows, microcopy, or product thinking
- Bonus: experience in health, wellness, education, or youth-focused products

Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a UX Writer specializing in user-focused content for a youth mental health app. The UX Writer will craft clear, engaging, and inclusive in-app content and user interfaces that provide a seamless experience. You will collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, clinical team (nurses & doctors) and developers to create copy that is supportive, accessible, and resonates with young Learners. Tasks include UX writing, contributing to content strategies, conducting user research, and supporting the overall development of the app’s communication tone and voice.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in User Experience Writing and Technical Writing, with the ability to create user-focused, accessible, and clear content.
- Experience in UX Research and understanding user needs to create meaningful and impactful app content.
- Expertise in Content Strategy and Writing to define app tone and narrative while maintaining consistency across touchpoints.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including designers, researchers, product managers, nurses, doctors, youth council and developers.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusivity in App content creation is a plus.
- Experience with mental health, wellness, or youth-focused apps is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating meaningful experiences for end-users.
