Teacher Position Overview

Teachers are responsible for creating a well-organized, engaging, and supportive educational environment where all students can fully benefit from the instructional program and available resources. Teachers plan, deliver, and assess instruction in alignment with district expectations and state standards. They work collaboratively with school staff to support students’ academic, social, and emotional success.

Assignments may include working with students who have exceptional needs—academic, behavioral, or physical. Training and professional development will be provided on best practices, curriculum requirements, and district initiatives. Duties may vary based on the needs of the classroom, school, or program.

Common Duties of Teachers

Instructional Planning: Develop standards-aligned lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments tailored to meet diverse student needs.

Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction that promotes student understanding, critical thinking, and academic growth.

Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment that supports student success.

Student Support: Provide individualized academic and behavioral interventions, accommodations, and modifications as needed.

Small Group & Individual Instruction: Work with students in small groups or individually to reinforce skills, provide remediation, or extend learning.

Assessment & Data Analysis: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Documentation & Compliance: Complete required documentation, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with IEPs, 504 plans, and district policies.

Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress, concerns, and successes.

Collaboration: Participate in PLCs, team meetings, and professional learning opportunities to support school-wide goals.

Technology Integration: Utilize educational technology, digital resources, and district platforms to enhance instruction and student engagement.

Supervision: Monitor and supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, dismissal, and other non-classroom settings as needed.

Other Duties as Assigned: Responsibilities may vary based on the needs of the school or program.

Available Positions

We are hiring certified teachers for full-time positions across the district.
Interviewing for the teacher pool allows candidates to be considered for multiple locations at once.
Final placement will require an interview with the specific school site.

Typical Work Hours:

Teachers follow the work hours of the assigned school site (elementary, middle, or high).
