Software Development Intern (Address Income, Pack Intern, Summer '26)

Address Income is a Reno-based real estate brokerage that specializes in helping clients view every home as an investment opportunity. Address Income’s team is based in Reno, Nevada and works closely with local investors, homebuyers, and real estate professionals while also building scalable systems that support growth and innovation within the real estate industry. 

 

Internship Description: 

The Software Development Internship at Address Income provides students with hands-on experience developing and supporting technology solutions within a data-driven real estate brokerage. Address Income integrates real estate investment strategy with technology and analytics, and this internship will give students the opportunity to contribute to software tools that support real estate analysis, business operations, and client engagement. 

  

Interns will work alongside the leadership and operations teams to support the development, improvement, and testing of internal software platforms and web-based tools. Responsibilities may include assisting with front-end or back-end development tasks, supporting database organization and data integration, troubleshooting system issues, and contributing to feature development for internal platforms. Interns may also assist with integrations between business systems such as CRM platforms, analytics tools, and financial software. 

  

Throughout the internship, students will gain experience working on real-world development projects while learning how technology supports decision-making within a growing real estate organization. Interns will develop skills in software development, problem solving, collaboration, and technical documentation while working in an agile and project-based environment. 

  

The internship is designed to provide meaningful experience in software development within a prop-tech focused business, while also giving students exposure to how technology, data, and real estate investment strategy intersect in a modern brokerage. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Complete 360 hours of work as an intern (32-40 hours per week, 9 weeks minimum) 
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of internal software tools and web-based platforms 
  • Supporting front-end and/or back-end development tasks depending on project needs and intern skillset 
  • Assisting with database organization, data integration, and data management related to real estate analytics and business operations 
  • Helping test, troubleshoot, and document software features and system functionality 
  • Supporting integrations between platforms such as CRM systems, analytics tools, and other business software 
  • Assisting with technical documentation and maintaining development notes for internal systems 
  • Collaborating with team members on project planning, feature development, and system improvements 
  • Participating in regular check-ins with supervisors to review progress, troubleshoot challenges, and gain professional feedback 

 

Goals and Expectations of the Intern: 

The primary goal of the Software Development Intern is to gain practical, hands-on experience in software development while contributing to technology projects that support Address Income’s business operations and analytics initiatives. The intern is expected to actively participate in development tasks, collaborate with team members, and apply problem-solving skills to real-world projects. 

  

Throughout the internship, the intern is expected to develop technical skills related to software development, system integration, and data management while becoming familiar with the tools and platforms used within the organization. The intern will also gain exposure to how technology supports decision-making within a real estate and data-driven business environment. 

  

We expect the intern to demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. The intern should be proactive in asking questions, seeking feedback, and contributing ideas during project work. By the end of the internship, the goal is for the intern to have strengthened their technical development abilities, gained experience working on collaborative software projects, and developed a better understanding of how software solutions can support business strategy and operational efficiency. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate OR graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno after the Spring ‘26 semester  
  • Spring ‘26 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program 
  • Student must be enrolled in a major or minor program in the following colleges: 
    • Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources (CABNR) 
    • Business 
    • Engineering 
    • Science 
    • Public Health/Orvis 
  • Basic knowledge of software development principles and programming concepts 
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar 
  • Basic understanding of web development concepts including front-end and/or back-end development 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a professional setting 
  • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines in a project-based environment 
  • Interest in technology, data systems, or prop-tech applications within real estate or business operations  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with database systems such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB 
  • Basic understanding of API development and system integrations 
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git or GitHub 
  • Exposure to cloud-based platforms or development environments 
  • Interest in data analytics, software tools, or technology platforms used in business operations 
  • Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and technical tools 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple project tasks 
  • Interest in working in a startup or fast-paced business environment 
  • Curiosity about how software and data can be applied to industries such as real estate, analytics, and business operations 

 

Desired Schedule for Intern: 

Monday - Friday anytime between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm 

 

Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 360 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
