Future Teacher Program Peer Counselor

Bridge Program encouraged to introduce incoming freshmen to a career in education and college. Move-in a week before the start of the semester. Transition into learning community.

Program Runs from August 23 through 28, Stipend $600 for the week 

 

Minimum Requirement - 

  • Participated in FTP in previous year
  • Current Education or ComDis Major

Job Duties:

  1. Supervise 10-20 First year students.
  2. Live in Whitewater during program duration (on or off campus)
  3. Walk students to sessions throughout the week
  4. Assist with questions from new students
  5. Attend program sessions and Meals with students (Meals & Snacks provided!)
  6. Create evening activities for students
  7. Create welcoming environment for students.
