Marketing & Event Assistant
Company Information:
Avalon Park Group is a uniquely diversified family of companies engaged in businesses ranging from master-planned community development to co-working, healthcare and wellness operations, food hall operations, mining, property management and others, in Florida, Texas and Switzerland. This position will be assisting the Marketing Department and reports to the SVP of Marketing and Director of Community Relations.
Job Title: Event and Marketing Assistant
Summary: Provides marketing support to multiple entities and coordinates property events by performing the following duties:
- Assists in planning, organizing and managing large community events.
- Assists in planning, organizing and managing events and marketing activities for the company’s operating entities.
- Assists in the maintenance of social media and some website functions.
- Establishes sponsorship and grant leads while marketing the company.
- Attends business events to network and market company(s).
- Creates and maintains business contacts.
- Utilizes and helps grow current contact database to prospect sales and assist in event planning.
- Assists in composing business letters, sponsorship package, summaries, and reports.
- Assists in administrative functions related to the marketing department.
- Attends commercial tenant events to ensure that tenant needs are met.
- Maintains contact with management to resolve customer issues.
- Serves as volunteer coordinator for events and operating entity activities.
- Makes independent decisions and takes action during peak/crisis periods.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and during special events, with a variable weekly schedule.
- Must be willing and able to drive as required to fulfill job duties.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2 years marketing or customer service experience
- AA or BA preferred, but not required.
- Bilingual a plus
- Microsoft Office
- Word Press
- Familiar with Microsoft Teams, Canva, Loomly and Hubspot.
- Familiar with social media platforms, including, but not limited to: Instagram, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Pinterest, X, Tik Tok and LinkedIn.
Physical Demands of the Job
- Continuous walking, standing, sitting.
- Lift/push/carry and pull 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, etc.
