People and Culture Intern

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a logistics lead for the hiring process. Coordinate interview schedules, communicate application statuses to hiring managers, and provide hands-on support at career fairs and recruitment events.
  • Assist with essential data integrity by performing ADP audits, tracking policy acknowledgments, and monitoring training completion across the organization.
  • Manage "boots on the ground" logistics, including the inventory and ordering of company T-shirts, processing safety boot vouchers, and managing timecard exceptions.
  • Be the face of our "People-First" culture by managing birthday card distributions, shopping for organizational donations, and coordinating milestone celebrations.
  • Support internal communication by creating and updating Yo Deck announcements to keep the team informed and engaged.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure all employee documentation is accurate and audit-ready.
  • Participate in fostering an organizational culture that values innovation, promotes inclusion, and inspires excellence in the work environment.
  • Protect company trade secrets and proprietary data. Manage sensitive information with the highest level of discretion, escalating complex situations to P&C leadership when necessary.
  • Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance; comply with all organizational procedures.
  • Participate in job-related training and continuing education.
  • Complete other related duties assigned by supervisor and/or department management.


 

Skills/Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, from entry-level candidates to senior executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to quickly learn and navigate HRIS platforms and communication software.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and a positive demeanor within a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to identify and correct discrepancies in data entry, training audits, and inventory management.
  • Proven track record of punctuality and regular, reliable attendance.
  • Absolute integrity and the ability to handle sensitive, proprietary, and highly confidential information with total discretion and in accordance with company policy.
