Pre-K Teacher
Trinity UMC Preschool is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our Pre-K classroom team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and faith-centered learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Compensation and Schedule
- Salary: Starting at $44,290+, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate Pre-K curriculum aligned with state and center standards
- Create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Lead daily activities that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Observe, assess, and document student progress
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom
- Communicate regularly with families about student growth and experiences
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and aides
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and center policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- MSDE P–3 Certification preferred
- Prior experience as a lead teacher in a Pre-K or early childhood setting

- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences
- Comfortable using basic educational technology
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, bend, and interact with children at their level
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities daily
