Title: Data Science Fellow (Summer 2026 Cohort Current Undergraduate Students Only)

Period of Performance: June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026

Hourly Rate: $18.00 an hour

Aalis Management Consulting is hiring five (5) Data Science Fellows to support a Summer 2026 federal data analytics project. Fellows will work full-time in a remote environment from June 1, 2026, through August 31, 2026, supporting data-focused initiatives including analytics, dashboard development, visualization, and statistical programming.

This opportunity is designed for current undergraduate students pursuing degrees in data science or related technical disciplines who want hands-on experience supporting a structured federal client environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data collection, cleaning, transformation, and analysis
• Support the development of dashboards and data visualizations
• Assist with statistical programming using Python and/or R
• Convert basic statistical or analytical programs into Python or R
• Support lightweight prototype development and basic data pipeline tasks
• Assist with dashboard documentation, user guides, and training materials
• Provide analytical support for reporting and decision-making tools
• Work within established federal project processes and timelines
• Complete onboarding and security requirements as required for federal support

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate student at an accredited college or university
• Academic focus in one of the following or closely related field:
  • Data Science
  • Data Analytics
  • Statistics
  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics
  • Information Systems
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Up to 4 years of total experience (including internships, research, or coursework)
• Experience with Python and/or R
• Exposure to data analysis, visualization, or dashboard tools
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to produce clear documentation and training materials

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar dashboard tools
• Coursework or projects involving data cleaning, modeling, or visualization
• Experience with Git, Jupyter, or similar development tools
• Internship, research, or academic project involving real datasets
• Ability to work independently in a remote, structured environment
