Our Financial Projections & Data Insights Internship is built for students who want to apply analytical skills to meaningful projects that support creator‑focused initiatives, digital media operations, and organizational development across the Zoo Media ecosystem.
As a Financial Projections & Data Insights Intern, you’ll work closely with our finance, strategy, and operations teams to analyze data, build financial models, and support decision‑making across a fast‑growing, creator‑centered environment. This hands‑on role offers exposure to forecasting, budgeting, entertainment industry research, and data‑driven storytelling — all while contributing to work that fuels innovation and accessibility.
What You’ll Do
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Collect, organize, and analyze financial data across Zoo Media programs
- Build financial models and projections using spreadsheets and analytical tools
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
Research & Strategic Insights
- Research entertainment and digital media trends, economic indicators, and emerging opportunities
- Analyze financial statements to identify patterns, risks, and areas for improvement
- Support long‑term planning by contributing to budgets, forecasts, and scenario modeling
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with creative, operations, and program teams to gather data for modeling
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving financial processes
- Translate financial insights into clear, accessible communication materials
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Document financial workflows, templates, and forecasting tools
- Assist in refining internal systems to improve accuracy, clarity, and efficiency
Meeting Schedule
Interns must attend at least one of the weekly meetings below.
SkillBridge participants must attend all four.
- Mondays @ 9:00 AM MST
- Wednesdays @ 10:00 AM MST
- Fridays @ 8:00 AM MST
- SkillBridge: Thursdays @ 9:00 AM MST
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with financial modeling, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a mission‑driven environment
- Previous internship experience is welcome but not required
