Director, Sponsored Research Post Award

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, to include at least two (2) years of experience in research administration or accounting
• Expertise in GAAP; nonprofit fund accounting; Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200); and sponsored research compliance
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to elicit and disperse information; to present information (including data) and communications in a clear and concise manner
• Strong organizational, administrative, time management and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a multi-tasking environment while maintaining careful attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• CPA, an advanced degree in business or a related field, and / or another relevant licensure or certification
• Four or more years of experience in research administration or accounting
• Previous experience with research administration or accounting in higher education or complex nonprofit environments
• Experience with Banner finance and grant module and Cayuse
• Experience supporting single audits
• Ability to promote inclusive excellence in the workplace
