Warhawk Pantry Student Lead - Summer and/or Fall 2026 - Work Study or Regular Pay
Position Summary
The Warhawk Pantry Student Lead supports the Pantry’s mission by assisting clients, coordinating with staff, donors, and volunteers, and maintaining a safe, confidential environment. This role involves client support, training, marketing, heavy lifting, and repetitive tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Proficient ability in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with staff and volunteers
- At least one semester working as a Warhawk Pantry Assistant
- Minimum Cumulative GPA Required 2.0
Tasks
All UC Employees:

- Follow UC Student Employee Guidelines
- Participate and complete onboarding, UC-wide Orientation, and training.
Position Specific:
- Performs all Pantry Assistant tasks, with added responsibilities including training, scheduling, meeting prep, and issue resolution.
- Provides excellent, confidential service to a diverse clientele–creates a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment.
- Assists with orders and tracks inventory (Feeding America, retail suppliers), maintains procedures using Excel, Google Drive, Transact.
- Assists in scheduling volunteers and donation drop-offs with proactive communication.
- Develops and implements promotional ideas (e.g., social media, food drives, tabling)
- Completes all Feeding America food safety training and follows FIFO inventory practice. Attends Pantry training and monthly staff meetings.
Additional Requirement(s) (Meetings/Training/Event Staffing)
- Participates in UC Executive Leadership Council, as available.
- Assists with staffing and planning Pantry events.
