Gallery Student Manager - Summer and/or Fall 2026 - Work Study or Regular Pay

Position Summary                                                                                        

The Student Manager for Roberta’s Art Gallery assumes leadership responsibilities over the gallery while providing support to Gallery staff and the James R. Connor University Center. This position reports to the University Center Services Manager, works up to 15 hours per week, and serves as a liaison to the Graduate Assistant and Manager. Some special event weeks, fall training, exhibit installs, or UC events may require additional hours.

Minimum Qualifications                                                                                                          

  • Ability to lift and carry artwork of various sizes for installation/takedown 
  • Ability to climb a ladder to access the storage and lighting system (desirable)
  • Must have strong communication skills, and organizational skills 
  • Must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0

Tasks 

All UC Employees:

  2. Follow UC Student Employee Guidelines
  3. Participate and complete onboarding, UC-Wide Orientation, and training

Position Specific:

  • Prepares and maintains work schedules for Gallery student staff for both academic and non-academic sessions using When to Work (scheduling tool).
  • Assists with set up and take down of gallery exhibits and special events
  • Promotes gallery programs through personal invitations, posters, signage, and social media in collaboration with UC Marketing & Creative Strategies and other departments.
  • Leads monthly staff meetings by creating agendas and team development activities, and effectively communicates agenda items
