ACT/SAT Tutor

Do you like learning and helping others? Then we're looking for you! We are a small tutoring company specializing in standardized test prep (ACT, SAT, GRE, MCAT, GMAT) and academic subjects from middle school through college.
Our team is made up of intelligent, caring, and thoughtful people dedicated to helping students achieve their goals, whether they are high achievers aiming for top scores or students looking to rebuild their academic confidence.
About the Position
- We offer a flexible schedule, primarily during afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Summers will offer daytime hours as well.
- You will be meeting with students in-person at our location in Sorrento Valley.
- We are looking for tutors who can contribute between 10-20 hours a week. If you are engaging and help your students understand the material better, it will be easy to scale your schedule up to 15-20 hours (or more!)
- We provide paid training and ongoing mentorship with senior tutors, so prior tutoring experience is not required.
- We are looking for candidates who can commit to taking students through the end of the 2027 school year (June), although longer is even better!
Minimum Availability Requirements
To ensure we can effectively match you with a consistent roster of students, we require the following minimum availability:
- 5 hour block on either Saturday or Sunday
- 4 hour block on three separate (M-Th) evenings after 3:30pm
- Please note: While the above are the minimums, additional availability (Fridays or early afternoons) allows us to schedule you with students more quickly.
