Role Overview & Expectations
Yellow Dog Software, a leader in inventory management solutions, is seeking an Accounting Integrations Specialist to join our Norfolk, VA headquarters. Our platform supports leading hospitality organizations—including resorts, casinos, universities, stadiums, and restaurants—by integrating with hundreds of POS, accounting, and operational systems.
In this role, you will execute system integrations for new and existing clients, ensuring seamless onboarding, accurate configuration, and successful outcomes. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor—confidently leading virtual client engagements and clearly translating technical concepts into practical solutions.
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Ticket Management & Prioritization to include review and triage of new and existing tickets daily, while prioritizing urgent needs and go-live dates,.
Client Communication & Follow-Up including maintaining consistent follow-up to keep projects on track, escalation or closure of unresponsive tickets.
Client Engagement Responsibilities including leading client interactions with a consultative, professional approach, confidently guiding them through integration processes.
Key Engagements Include:
- Kick-Off Calls: Define scope, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables
- Installation Sessions: Lead efficient, accurate system configurations
- Validation & Go-Live: Confirm integrations meet requirements and communicate completion
Documentation & Continuous Improvement duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of accounting platforms (QuickBooks preferred)
Strong technical aptitude (ERP systems, integrations, databases) and SQL required.
Experience with software implementations, onboarding, or client setups
Background in SaaS or professional services environments preferred
Degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field preferred
