Pre-School Soccer Instructor

Job Title: Pre-School Soccer Instructor (Part-Time – Saturdays)

Location: YMCA – [Branch Name]
Schedule: Saturdays, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Program Dates: Week of August 29th – October 31st

Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Pre-School Soccer Instructor to lead our Saturday morning program for children ages 2–5. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young children and the ability to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment that introduces the fundamentals of soccer.

In addition, this role may support or lead youth soccer programming for ages 6–12, making prior knowledge of soccer fundamentals essential.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and instruct a Pre-School Soccer program for children ages 2–5

Create a positive, energetic, and inclusive learning environment

Teach basic soccer skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork

Introduce age-appropriate soccer games and activities

Adapt instruction to meet the developmental needs of young children

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times

Set up and break down equipment before and after each session

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and YMCA staff

Assist with or lead youth soccer programs for ages 6–12 as needed

Qualifications

Experience working with young children (ages 2–5) required

Knowledge of soccer fundamentals required

Coaching or teaching experience preferred

Energetic, patient, and reliable with strong communication skills

Ability to manage a group in a fun and structured environment

Preferred Qualifications

Background in Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field

Prior experience coaching youth soccer

CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
