Goal of the Overall VISTA Project: We ensure that at-risk youth affected by foster care

are provided with an environment to heal from their trauma(s) and avoid the negative

outcomes associated with the foster care system. Families living in poverty are more

susceptible to being affected by the foster care system, and kinship families that are

preventing children from entering foster care often need additional support in order to do

so. This VISTA will build the capacity of NLV to serve resident families by developing the

existing grant application/implementation processes and improving donor relations.

Specifically, NLV anticipates year-over-year increases in the number of grants applied

to, total grant funds awarded, and campus tours attended by prospective donors.
