Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Conduct medication therapy management to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for patients.
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription processing, patient records, and inventory management.
- Stay updated on current pharmacological knowledge, including physiology, to provide informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacist license in the state of New York.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, and medication management systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Micromerchant (PrimeRX) software applications for efficient workflow management.
