Social Media Intern

Are you passionate about art, design, storytelling, or collectibles? Do you want to gain real-world experience in the online art and vintage market while working closely with a small, creative team? If so, we’d love to hear from you! Art and Beautiful Things is a curated online gallery specializing in art, vintage collectibles, decorative objects, and historically significant pieces. We are focused on celebrating beauty in all forms—from Murano glass to vintage treasures. We believe every piece has a story, and we’re looking for someone who wants to help us tell it. We blend storytelling, education, and design to connect collectors with meaningful objects. Our brand focuses on thoughtful curation, historical depth, and elevated presentation.

 

1. Social Media Internship: We are seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to support daily content creation and seasonal campaign execution across Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. This internship is product-centered and content-driven. Each week, the intern will research and introduce five new products into the shop and build integrated social and blog content around those pieces. This is a hands-on, portfolio-building opportunity ideal for students interested in marketing, communications, art history, journalism, fashion, luxury branding, or digital media. This position is hybrid (Remote / In-Person for Content Shoots).

 

Key Responsibilities

Daily Social Media Posting

    •    Create and schedule:

    •    1 Instagram post or reel per day

    •    1 Facebook post per day

    •    1–2 Pinterest pins per day

    •    Customize captions per platform

    •    Maintain brand voice and aesthetic consistency

 

Campaign Support

    •    Assist with seasonal campaigns (Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Spring, etc.)

    •    Draft campaign emails

    •    Create campaign social content

    •    Support press release drafting

 

Public Relations Exposure

    •    Research media and influencer contacts

    •    Assist with pitch drafting

    •    Contribute to seasonal press releases

 

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this internship, you will gain experience in:

    •    Daily content marketing strategy

    •    Luxury and collectible brand positioning

    •    E-commerce product storytelling

    •    SEO-focused writing

    •    Campaign development

    •    Press release drafting

    •    Cross-platform content planning

 

You will leave with a strong portfolio of blog posts, product listings, campaign materials, and social media work.

 

Qualifications

    •    Strong writing & research skills

    •    Interest or experience with photography

    •    Interest in art, design, vintage, or collectibles

    •    Strong understanding of Social Media & Social Media Campaign Impact

    •    Strong understanding of branding and storytelling

    •    Ability to manage deadlines independently

    •    Experience with Canva, Google Docs, or similar tools preferred

AI tools may be used for outlining and drafting, but strong editing and original thinking are required.

 

Time Commitment

    •    Approximately 12–12.5 hours per week

    •   Hybrid Work

    •    Weekly check-in with supervisor
