Production Assistant

We are currently seeking a Production Assistant. The Production Assistant is responsible for tracking pre-production samples, updating SAP with factory packing lists, and assisting with internal projects as needed. This role will coordinate with Design and Technical teams to ensure target dates are met for sample approval. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Negotiate critical dates for time and action calendars, and manage the approval process for each style.
Maintain factory allocation charts created by the manager and update necessary information on a daily and weekly basis.
Maintain weekly WIP reports from factories/vendors and monitor production progress for each order against timelines. Review and escalate urgent production issues to the manager as needed.
Review WIP reports with the manager weekly to provide status updates for each factory/vendor and address issues with solutions.
Collaborate with various departments to obtain necessary production information and share with overseas factories/vendors, including tech packs, patterns, wash targets, trim sheets, etc.
Enter and issue POs in SAP and follow up through shipment completion. Ensure all updates and requirements are reflected in POs for factory/vendor compliance.
Resolve and coordinate production issues by communicating with Design, Sales, and Technical teams as needed.
Track, receive, and log FIT/PPA/TOP samples and washes, ensuring comments are communicated to factories/vendors in a timely manner.
Review and approve Ocean/Air bookings received from the Import department.
Update pre-shipping documents weekly in SAP upon receipt from factories/vendors.
Communicate daily (verbal and written) with factories/vendors to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods to the warehouse.
Resolve issues during the production process to avoid delays.
Collaborate across departments, including Design, Technical Design, and Product Development, to ensure adherence to timelines.

Qualifications

Wholesale or large production volume experience required
Denim production experience preferred
Minimum 1–2 years of related experience (including internships)
Working knowledge of the production process from development through finished goods
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
SAP and PLM experience a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Bachelor’s degree required

Compensation

Salary Range: $55K – $60K
Actual base salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and assigned business unit.
