Accounting Technician I

📌 Accounting Technician I – County of Los Angeles

💰 Salary: $51,505.20 – $65,751.36 Annually Exceptional Benefits

📍 Location: Los Angeles County

 

The County of Los Angeles, the largest employer in Southern California, is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Accounting Technician I. This role provides technical accounting support for general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, fund accounting, auditing, reporting, and financial record reconciliation.

 

🌟 Top Responsibilities

  • Support accounting operations, including expenditures, revenue, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Review and reconcile financial records, subsidiary ledgers, and County accounting systems (eCAPS)
  • Assist with financial reporting, auditing, and accounting cycle processes
  • Maintain accurate accounting documentation and records
  • Provide support for departmental financial and budget activities

 

📚 Requirements to Qualify

Education 🎓:

  • 12 semester or 18 quarter units of accounting from an accredited college or university, including courses in Advanced Accounting, Cost Accounting, Governmental Accounting, Auditing, or Accounting Information Systems

Experience:

  • 1 year of accounting clerical experience performing work under general supervision within established accounting procedures
  • Substitution: An Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a closely related field may substitute for experience
