Outreach and Partnerships Intern, Remote
Position Overview
NVPH is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Outreach and Partnerships Intern to support our efforts to expand awareness, strengthen community relationships, and grow our network of partners. This role will assist with identifying and engaging organizations, schools, and community groups to increase visibility and access to our services.
The intern will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit outreach, partnership development, and external communications while contributing to initiatives that directly support violence prevention and crisis intervention.
This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in nonprofit management, public health, communications, social work, public policy, or community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with researching and identifying potential partner organizations, universities, and community groups
- Build and maintain outreach tracking lists and contact databases
- Draft and send outreach emails and follow-up communications
- Support coordination of meetings, partnerships, and collaborative initiatives
- Track outreach efforts, responses, and engagement metrics
- Assist with developing and organizing outreach strategies and campaigns
- Collaborate with team members on initiatives to expand NVPH’s reach and partnerships
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Communications, Public Health, Sociology, Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, Social Work, or related fields
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Comfortable with email outreach and professional communication
- Interest in social impact, violence prevention, or nonprofit work
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
