Manufacturing Technician

               Manufacturing Technician Shift:   1st shift: Monday – Friday, 6am – 2:30pm     2nd shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00am   Compensation: Starting at $19.00 ($1.50 shift differential)

Requirements

  • Ability to work safely and identify unsafe situations
  • Strong attention to quality and detail
  • Ability to stay focused and complete work on time
  • Able to stand/sit for long periods and work overtime when needed
  • Good vision (correctable to 20/20)
  • Basic math and geometry skills; able to convert decimals ↔ fractions
  • Understanding of tolerances and basic blueprint terms
  • Openness to feedback and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with machining or resistance/laser welding
  • Mechanically inclined; able to adjust and troubleshoot equipment
  • Familiarity with measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, gauges, scales)

The responsibilities for this position can include, assembling/welding honeycomb products while meeting production and quality goals.  Additional responsibilities include preparing honeycomb for final inspection, reworking honeycomb, and running honeycomb machines in regular production as needed.  Employees will distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable workmanship standards and work with leadership to improve the production process as necessary. 
Due to the standards of work in the aerospace and transportation industries, pre-employment drug screening is mandatory and random drug and alcohol screenings are done on a regular basis.
