Inclusive Program Coach
Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate, dedicated college students and alumni to serve as Coaches and Mentors in our Inclusive Special Needs Program. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience working with children and young adults of all abilities in a supportive, engaging, and creative environment.
As a Coach, you will play a vital role in fostering inclusion, building meaningful relationships, and supporting participants through recreational, educational, and social development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist in inclusive recreational activities designed for individuals with diverse abilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to participants
- Encourage positive social interactions, teamwork, and confidence-building
- Support adaptive physical education activities and movement-based programming
- Facilitate activities in creativity, STEM, and educational enrichment
- Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting personal growth and independence
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
- Communicate effectively with staff, participants, and families when needed
