Paid Summer Internship – CyanVac LLC / Blue Lake Biotechnology


Location: Athens, GA | Hours of Operation: 9-5, M-F
Duration: May 18 - August 7

Hours: 30–40 per week (4–5 days) | Compensation: Paid
Eligibility: Students pursuing degrees in Life Sciences or related fields

About the Internship

This 12-week paid internship is designed for motivated students eager to gain hands-on experience in biotechnology and vaccine development. As an intern, you’ll work alongside our experienced scientists, contributing to real-world projects while developing technical and problem-solving skills. You’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the biotech industry, and make a tangible impact on our research. 

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct experiments using established protocols and SOPs to support vaccine development.
  • Assist in the development and characterization of novel vaccine candidates.
  • Perform advanced lab techniques, including cell culture, molecular cloning, RT-PCR, and immunological assays (e.g., ELISA, ELISpot, Microneutralization Assay).
  • Maintain accurate research documentation and analyze experimental data to drive project success.
  • Collaborate with a team of scientists and receive mentorship to enhance your technical and professional skills.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Life Sciences, Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Prior experience with cell culture, molecular assays, or immunological techniques is a plus, but not required.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Work Ethic: A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a passion for contributing to meaningful scientific research.
