Social Work – Research Projects Graduate Assistant
This position will be filled with a graduate student from social work, counseling, or public administration. The graduate assistant will be assigned to five major projects that fulfill this program’s accreditation requirements to supplement classroom learning with implicit curriculum programs. Specifically, the student will participate in all aspects of program planning, including needs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The projects with assigned faculty members are as follows: a) the annual community forum (Dr. LaBarre), b) field instructors’ management and training program (Dr. LaBarre), c) annual alumni gathering and graduation event (Dr. Hanna), d) monthly professional development meetings (Dr. Hanna), and e) MSW student recruitment (Dr. Vafeas). In addition, the student will be continuing the data collection and reporting responsibilities for the ongoing Pennsylvania Child Abuse and Neglect Study (2008- ). Skills MS Office, SurveyMonkey, writing ability.
This position is for 13 hours/week of work (200 hours for the spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $2500 per semester. Please contact Christopher Harris for additional information if needed at harris@kutztown.edu.
