Copywriting Intern 

Position: Copywriting Intern                       

Department: Marketing and Communications
Location: Remote                                                
Duration: 10 hours per week (flexible as this is an unpaid internship)
Reports to:  Marketing and Communications Strategist

Summary:
The MADD Marketing and Communications team is dedicated to building brand awareness and engaging our audience through innovative and compelling content. We are looking for a creative and motivated Copywriting Intern to join our team and contribute to our mission to end impaired driving for good.

Responsibilities:
As a Copywriting Intern, you will support our team in various tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Blog Posts: Research and write engaging blog posts on topics relevant to our brand and audience.
  • SEO Writing: Develop SEO-friendly content to improve our website's search engine ranking.
  • Storytelling: Craft compelling stories that resonate with our audience and enhance our brand narrative.
  • Marketing Collateral: Assist in creating and/or updating copy on existing marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and newsletters.
  • Social Media Posts: Support the social team in creating captivating content for our social media platforms to increase engagement and followers.
  • Content Editing: Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant insights into content.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Creative thinking and storytelling abilities.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality content.
