Tessa International School is a fast-growing, high-quality bilingual school located in Hoboken, New Jersey, just one stop from Manhattan. We offer three language immersion tracks—Spanish, French, and Mandarin—and are accredited by the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the French Ministry of Education. We are also recognized as a NAIS model school.

We are seeking a passionate, reflective, and dedicated Primary Years Floater to join our team and help our youngest learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a bilingual, inquiry-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively assists the lead teacher with classroom and behavior management
  • Maintains a clean, tidy, and presentable classroom and school environment.
  • Assists the lead teacher with various tasks as needed.
  • Participates in meetings and professional training sessions, and supports leadership with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English, fluency of any of our language track offerings is a plus
  • At least three years of working experience in a school environment
  • A degree in Education or a similar field is preferred
  • Prior experience at an international school or cultural fluency derived from international experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, a sense of humor, humility, and empathy
  • Must be a team player with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion

Schedule

  • 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
  • Part-time positions and the opportunity to work extra hours may be available

Salary:

  • $3,500 per month
