LOCATION: Throughout Allegheny County
SALARY: $43,000/yr and a Sign-on bonus of $2,000
Allegheny Children’s Initiative, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a non-profit organization that provides mental and behavioral health community-based services to children, adolescents and families throughout Allegheny and Washington Counties. Based in Pittsburgh’s South Side, we provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services, Service Coordination, Student Assistance, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Family Based Mental Health programs. All employees of Allegheny Children’s Initiative are expected to act and conduct services in a socially just and culturally competent manner. Employees are supported in these efforts through ongoing development and training.
Responsibilities
The Service Coordinator will be responsible for providing direct mental health Service Coordination services to children / adolescents with a serious mental / behavioral health disorder. Services are provided in the community where the consumer resides to gain access to needed resources such a mental health treatment, educational, social, medical, etc. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assess child/family needs and to appropriate services, treatment providers or community resources
• Assist the child/family in accessing and learning to use resources and services
• Support the family in obtaining and maintaining basic living needs; including applying for financial assistance when available
• Educate the family around mental health issues and available services. Support and empower the family
• Advocate that child/family needs are being met in a timely and coordinated way
• Monitor the quality of outside services to the family and assess child and family satisfaction with services
• Develop crisis safety plans with the child and family and educate them around emergency mobile crisis services
• Participate in treatment / discharge planning for those who are hospitalized or involved in treatment services
• Facilitate interagency team meetings to review child/family needs with other members of the their team
• Complete all required documentation in the Electronic Health Record

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, other related social sciences, criminal justice, theology, nursing, counseling or education
• One (1) year paid experience working with children
• Eligible for Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances
• Valid Driver's license and full-time use of vehicle
• COVID-19 Vaccination or approved exemption

USD $43,000.00/Yr.
