Associate Clinical Specialist-Sales
Atlas Ocular is currently seeking an Associate Clinical Specialist (ACS) to join our national B2B sales organization in an internship position to support our highly talented inside sales team. The ideal candidate will be an organized, driven, self-starter with excellent communication skills, an outgoing personality, and a passion for helping current and future prospective clients. They should thrive in a dynamic medical sales organization and be comfortable in a remote work environment. As this is a SALES position, the ideal candidate should be eager to enhance their sales skills and be interested in pursuing a potential career at Atlas Ocular in medical device sales. A proven record of sales success is a plus.
POSITION SUMMARY
The ACS will report directly to the National Director of Sales and the Head of Training and Development. In this key role, the ACS will be provided with a database of Optometry and Ophthalmology practices and groups and will be expected to meet or exceed a MONTHLY QUOTA for CALLS and VIRTUAL MEETINGS to promote the Apollo product. The ACS will generate opportunities through various communication channels, including virtual Microsoft Teams sessions, phone calls, text messages, and emails. The ACS's efforts should contribute to scheduling additional meetings and presentations that drive company revenue growth.
This is a remote position, allowing the ACS to work from their current home base. For candidates residing in the DC area who prefer an office-based role, the option to work from our Bethesda office is available. Educational credit is offered for this internship.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The position will report to the National Director of Sales and the Head of Training and Development.
JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week in 4–8-hour blocks, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours. Weekdays only.
- The ACS will need to execute a call script and develop a pipeline of business opportunities.
- The ACS will need to meet and exceed a monthly quota and report progress during weekly face-to-face or remote meetings.
- The ACS will be required to meet daily call objectives based on metrics established by leadership.
- The ASC will be required to routinely reach out to, and communicate with, all stakeholders of a client’s office. This can include, but not be limited to, the physician, technician, billing manager and office manager.
- The ASC will manage prospects utilizing Salesforce CRM software, phone and email.
- The ASC will demonstrate consistent professional performance, appearance, conduct and execution of responsibilities during work hours.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Junior, Senior or graduate from a sales and marketing, or science program with a 3.0 GPA or greater.
• Self-starter with ability to interact with the remote sales team and leaders via Microsoft Teams and phone meetings.
• Ability to learn how to professionally engage with both physicians and our sales team.
• A strong commitment to ethical and responsible representation of Apollo and Atlas Ocular.
• Personable and outgoing, reliable, respectful, punctual and enthusiastic.
• Excellent organizational ability to set priorities, organize workload and meet goals.
