· Manages planning, budgeting, resource coordination, and inspection of multiple, concurrent, mid- to large-size capital projects to include construction of multi-departmental facilities and/or significant infrastructure upgrades, as assigned.
· Prepares and monitors budgets for some projects associated with federal, state, or locally funded sources that directly impact the complexity of planning, construction, and major maintenance activities.
· Coordinates the bidding process for construction projects, leads negotiations, and administers contracts with consultants and contractors.
· Coordinates and task manages internal personnel, consultants, and contractors assigned to aligned projects.
· Monitors and reviews assigned capital projects through all phases independently with general oversight and input.
· Reviews and interprets complex engineering or architectural plans to provide technical recommendations, etc.
Education: Four (4) year degree in related field; architecture, construction, or engineering preferred.
Experience: Three (3) years of project management experience; PMP certification is preferred. OR: Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
