Role Description
 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer for an on-site contract position located in Houston, TX. The Lead Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications using Java. Responsibilities include leading the development of microservices, implementing solutions using the Spring Framework, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. The selected candidate will also provide mentorship, ensure code quality, and drive innovation in programming practices.
 

Qualifications
 

  • Proficiency in Java, Programming, and Software Development
  • Experience with designing and implementing Microservices architectures
  • Strong expertise with the Spring Framework for enterprise application development
  • Ability to write clean and efficient code, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience in leading software development teams is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus
  • Strong understanding of database management and integration is beneficial
