Assistant II Position

 

One position available immediately in the Department of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, Genome and Biomedical Sciences Facility on the Davis campus. 

 

Description: The successful applicant will contribute to the support of the Diaz Laboratory whose research deals with molecular mechanisms of nervous system development. 

 

Responsibilities: General laboratory setup and supply maintenance, washing and sterilizing glassware, and preparation of media and reagents. 

 

Qualifications: Working knowledge of a research laboratory (please describe coursework or lab experience in the online application). Once trained, ability to work independently with great attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills. Must be reliable. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. 

 

Salary will be at the Assistant II Series ($16.90). Hours: 8-12 hrs/week, flexible schedule. Start date flexible with latest start date the beginning of spring quarter 2025. Requires a minimum commitment of 12 months (including the summer and through the 2026-2027 academic year) with continued employment depending on performance. Preference is for applicants with work-study awarded for 2026-2027 but it is not required.
