About the Role
We are seeking an Entry‑Level Environmental Specialist to support environmental compliance, field operations, and project‑based initiatives. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career professional who is eager to gain hands‑on experience in environmental consulting and fieldwork while building a strong foundation in regulatory compliance and environmental best practices.
The Environmental Specialist will work closely with experienced project managers and field teams, receiving training and mentorship while contributing to a variety of environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM standards
· Support Phase II investigations, including sampling and data collection
· Assist with basic modeling, data analysis, and evaluation for environmental projects
· Support remediation activities, including field oversight and environmental monitoring
· Assist with Site Remediation Program (SRP) investigations and preparation of regulatory reports
· Support Underground Storage Tank (UST) removals and Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) investigations
· Conduct site inspections, audits, and environmental assessments under supervision
· Assist with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
· Prepare and organize environmental documentation, reports, and permits
· Support environmental sampling, monitoring, and planning activities
· Assist with spill response, waste management, and corrective action efforts
· Collaborate with project teams to implement environmental best practices
· Participate in training on environmental policies, procedures, and safety requirements
· Maintain accurate records and assist with timely submission of required documentation
· Communicate observations and findings to project managers and senior staff
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
· 0–2 years of relevant coursework, internship, or entry‑level professional experience
· Basic understanding of EPA, OSHA, and state environmental regulations
· Willingness to learn environmental sampling, inspections, and reporting processes
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and manage multiple tasks
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· 40‑Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Ability to travel locally for short‑term fieldwork
