Femergy® Chica Camp Cabin Leader

Femergy®'s Chica Camp is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cabin Leader to join our team! 

Femergy® Chica Camp is a five day camp designed to address critical gaps in education, resources, and personal development. Through camp, middle and high school girls develop their leadership skills, social-emotional growth, and community enrichment opportunities that enable them to lead healthy lives, plan for the future, and become leaders in their schools and communities. 
Camp includes:​

  • Overnight in-person Cabin Leader training
  • Interactive character-building workshops focused on self-regulation, effective communication, and identifying personal strengths and goals
  • Wellness workshops that educate on nutrition, physical fitness, and stress management
  • Environmental exploration workshops and service projects
  • A week of connection that leads to friendships and personal/academic development that extend far beyond our camp week!

 

Cabin Leader Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Must be female 20+
  • Must be able to stay overnight (May 31st, 2026- June 6th, 2026)
  • Must be able to manage a group of four-five campers consistently
  • Must submit and pass a background check (BCI & FBI)
  • Must create a positive and collaborative camp culture
  • Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities during camp  
  • Identify and respond to camper behavior issues
  • Ensure that the cabin is kept clean, organized, and safe
  • Contribute to open communication with other Cabin Leaders and report concerns to Camp Leadership.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily behavior
  • Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program
  • Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas 
  • Participate in all camp activities alongside of your students
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs.

 

As a Cabin Leader, you will receive a one-time $500 stipend upon completion of these duties, transportation to/from the camp site from the Femergy® Center, and meals during the week of camp.
