Resident In Counseling
We are seeking a Licensed Resident In Counseling (LPC) to join our team! You will provide mental health services for women and girls ages 14 and up, strengthening their ability to cope successfully with life challenges.
Requirements:
- Provide mental health assessments that identify needs and recommend options for care for female adults and teens.
- Must possess the ability to involve client(s) in the development of treatment goals, objectives, and interventions that address their emotional/behavioral health needs and assess progress in prescribed intervals
- Provide individual, and/or family therapy.
- Provide coordinated care/collaboration by initiating or participating in client-centered consultations with internal and external providers.
- Attend monthly meetings in accordance with the company’s schedule.
General Competencies:
- Contribute to the development of a culture of trauma-informed, person-centered care and creativity
- Have an understanding of the DSM 5 and how to incorporate it into treatment.
- Provide referral and transition services, including linkage and discharge planning.
- Demonstrate and comply with knowledge of ethical standards
- Provide differential treatment approaches and interventions to individuals
- Demonstrate knowledge of documentation standards and capacity to meet documentation expectations
- Complete individual treatment care plans, concurrent reviews, and other clinical documentation to maintain clinical records in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide crisis intervention when needed
- Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and staff development.
- Must take the initiatives to seek out training for personal and professional development
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Meets with the Clinical Director on an as-needed basis to discuss cases and concerns
Education:
- Must have a Master’s Degree as a mental health professional through the Virginia Department of Health Professions (LPC) or license eligible in the State of Virginia.
- Must have at least one year experience conducting group, individual or family therapy using a variety of treatment modalities.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other health care professionals, both verbally and in writing.
- Must have at least one year treating a variety of mental health disorders
Experience:
- Outpatient Therapy: minimum of 1 year
- Efficient in computer operating systems (Mac and/or PC)

Schedule:
- The schedule may fluctuate based on agency needs, as deemed by the Program Coordinator. A minimum of 25 billable hours weekly or 100 billable hours monthly is required.
