Integration Management Intern

Internship Overview

The IMO Intern is a high-visibility, hands-on role supporting Lantern’s M&A efforts. This team is responsible for coordinating Lantern’s post-acquisition integration efforts across product, operations, analytics, finance, and commercial work.

In this role, you will support daily operations, drive cross-functional alignment, oversee financial and operational progress, and contribute to executive reporting to enable high-impact business decisions during an exciting chapter of Lantern’s growth. This role sits at the center of the integration process and supports leadership in flagging key value drivers, cross-workstream interdependencies, and risks or decisions needing attention.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly organized, and eager to take ownership in a fast-moving healthcare environment. This is a strong opportunity for rising junior/senior students interested in strategy, consulting, corporate development, or project management.

Location:

Remote (NYC or Dallas preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with commercial, analytics, operations, and product teams and synthesize discussions into clear executive-ready updates
  • Own governance visibility within Lantern’s project management system, ensuring timelines, responsibilities, and dependencies are clearly tracked
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Identify trends in workstream performance and surface opportunities for process improvement or incremental value creation
  • Experiment with dashboards and reporting formats to improve how leadership understands integration progress
  • Develop an integration playbook documenting governance structure, decision-making processes, and lessons learned to inform future acquisitions

Requirements:

  • Rising junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • High-performing self-starter and independent contributor with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, with a strong sense of ownership over deliverables
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and flexing between high-level strategic thinking and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of end-to-end accountability and autonomy
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship development, and verbal communication skills
  • Required: High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Strong Candidates Will Have: 

  • Prior internship experience in consulting, project management, or corporate environments
  • Experience or interest in healthcare
