Auntie Bear's Sweet Shop ( Ice Cream and Sweet Treats)

Position Summary

Ice Cream & Sweet Shop Associates help create a sweet, upbeat experience for our guests by preparing and serving ice cream, desserts, and specialty treats. Team members focus on friendly service, accurate order handling, food safety, and maintaining a clean, inviting shop environment. This role is guest-facing and fast-paced, perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and spreading good vibes.

This is a seasonal role, generally running from mid-May through early September, based on weather, attendance, and park operations. Employment naturally ends at the close of the season.

Hours & Availability

The Ice Cream & Sweet Shop typically operates Thursday–Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Additional shifts may be scheduled during special events, holidays, or peak attendance periods.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience

• Welcome guests with a positive, upbeat attitude
• Accurately take and fulfill orders in a timely manner
• Scoop and serve ice cream, desserts, and specialty items
• Answer questions about menu items, options, and allergens
• Help create a fun and welcoming environment for guests of all ages

Point-of-Sale & Payments

• Use the point-of-sale system efficiently
• Handle cash and electronic payments responsibly
• Maintain accuracy within the cash drawer
• Follow all established transaction and cash-handling procedures

Food Handling & Prep

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines
• Keep prep and serving areas clean and organized
• Refill toppings, supplies, and ingredients as needed
• Assist with opening and closing procedures when scheduled

Cleaning & Organization

• Clean and sanitize counters, equipment, floors, and service areas
• Take out trash and keep workspaces orderly
• Restock items and alert leadership when supplies are running low

Schedule & Seasonal Expectations

• Seasonal, part-time position
• Typical season: mid-May through early September
• Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-traffic event times
• Position concludes at the end of the operating season

Qualifications

• Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and money-handling skills
• Ability to follow cleanliness and food safety standards
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Prior food service or retail experience is a plus, but not required
