Two Cats Bookkeeping is a fully remote bookkeeping company based in St. Petersburg, Florida. We are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our clients while maintaining flexibility and a healthy work-life balance for our team. We are growing and looking for a bookkeeper to take on bookkeeping projects and work collaboratively with our team.

Position Overview

Part-Time Contractor Position with potential for full-time as the business grows
Hours: 40-60 hours per month, project-based (10-20 hrs/week)
Compensation: Based on experience and education level
Training: We will train the right candidate - no prior experience required!

What You'll Do

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly bookkeeping tasks, including coding and reconciling transactions
• Work on multiple client accounts under guidance and supervision
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Communicate professionally with team members and occasionally with clients
• Meet project deadlines consistently
• Research solutions to bookkeeping challenges before escalating to a supervisor

Learning Opportunities:

• Gain hands-on experience with popular bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Double, Google Workspace, etc..)
• Develop skills in financial record-keeping and account reconciliation
• Learn professional client communication and project management
• Build a foundation for a career in accounting or finance

What We're Looking For

Ideal Candidate:

• Accounting, finance, or business coursework
• Previous experience with Google Drive, supporting programs, and QuickBooks Online
• Current college student or recent graduate
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to research solutions independently
• Professional communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the bookkeeping field

Technology Requirements:

• Computer with 2 monitors, mouse, webcam, and keyboard
• Stable internet connection
• Quiet workspace for remote work
• Basic computer skills and comfort with learning new software
