Manufacturing Operations Intern
The Manufacturing Operations Intern will support the Operations team in executing key operational and strategic initiatives within the business unit. This role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations, production planning, and business performance management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The position will assist with analyzing operational data, supporting execution of the manufacturing build plan, and contributing to projects focused on improving the quality, delivery performance, and productivity of Schneller’s products and processes. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams across operations, production planning, engineering, quality, and commercial functions to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives that drive customer satisfaction and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and execute an individual project of choice throughout the internship, with a focus on one of more of the following areas: productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and/or production planning.
- Support the Operations team in tracking and executing the manufacturing build plan to ensure alignment with customer demand and business objectives.
- Assist in analyzing operational and production performance data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of operational reports and business performance updates related to delivery performance, productivity, and quality metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing manufacturing efficiency, process control, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with operations, production planning, engineering, and quality teams to support root-cause problem-solving and process improvement efforts.
- Work closely with commercial and sales teams to gain insight into customer demand, order flow, and business priorities, helping ensure operational alignment with customer requirements.
- Assist with cross-functional projects supporting new product introduction, operational planning, and manufacturing process improvements.
- Support data collection, documentation, and analysis that contribute to informed operational decision-making.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or Business Administration (with a concentration in Operations, Supply Chain, or Management)
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in manufacturing, process improvement, or product development
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Desire and ability to grow professionally and expand responsibilities over time
- Comfortable working both on the production floor and in an office/lab setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- To conform with US export regulations and ITAR 120.15 and EAR Part 772, incumbents for this role must be eligible for any required authorizations from the US government
