Student Experience and Quality Assurance Graduate Assistant

Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.

Compensation: 

Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.

Primary Responsibilities: 

The Graduate Assistant for the Division of Student Experience and Quality Assurance will work to support the Division’s mission and purpose to provide resources, workshops, and programs for all students within the institution. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Meet with students to determine how the student experience is affecting their journey, work with students on study skills, time management, classes which are causing issue, maintain records of students who attend workshops and programs; Assist in planning and execution of workshops and events,  attend evening events as time permits, Assist in developing and implementing plans to provide programs to elevate the student experience;  Assist with developing programs, events, and activities for the Division of Student Experience;  Understand the Division’s vision, mission, and goals; Work toward student’s realization of what the college experience entails; Collaborate with Division staff on continuous improvement; Regularly communicate with the overall Division about projects, events, responsibilities, and concerns; Act as a resource for students to learn about specific functions/events/programs.
