Role Overview

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive dental care to Sailors, Marines, and their families.

Maintain readiness through routine exams, restorative work, and surgical procedures.

Lead and mentor a team of dental technicians and auxiliary staff.

Uphold the standards of a Commissioned Officer in the United States Navy.

Qualifications

Enrollment: Must be enrolled in or have an acceptance letter from an ADA-accredited dental school (DDS or DMD).

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Fitness: Must meet Navy physical and medical readiness standards.

Commitment: Willingness to serve as an Active Duty dentist for a specified term following graduation (typically 3–4 years depending on the scholarship length).
