Full-Time Permanent Procurement Manager

The Purchasing Manager collaborates closely with the Director of Procurement and Auxiliary Services, and is responsible for all aspects of purchasing ensuring that acquisitions are processed within the guidelines/ regulations of the state of North Carolina Purchasing and Contracts, Community College system, and the college.  This includes obtaining and evaluating quotes, verifying prices, preparing bid documents, and awarding bids.  The Purchasing Manager will serve as the point of contact for vendors, North Carolina Division of Purchasing and Contract, and end users to ensure effective communication and a smooth purchasing process.  The Purchasing Manager will supervise the Purchasing Clerk, assist the warehouse as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.

Salary:  $3,167.00 per month.
Standard Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Start Date:  April 6, 2026.
Closing Date:  March 29, 2026, or open until filled.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School diploma or GED required.  Associates Degree preferred.  A minimum of two (2) years of experience in State purchasing preferred.  Must possess a Valid NC Driver's License.  Must obtain North Carolina Contract Manager (NCCM) certification within one (1) year of hire.  Must obtain Forklift license within one (1) year of hire.
