Graphic Arts Production Intern

Muller, Inc., a premier distributor of some of the finest beer and beverage products in the six-county Philadelphia market, is offering a Paid Summer Internship (May through September, or agreed academic term) for college students pursuing careers in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts Production, Visual Communications, or related creative disciplines.
This internship provides hands-on exposure to the real-world production environment for retail graphics, promotional materials, and point-of-sale design execution across the beverage industry.
Interns will work directly with Muller’s Graphic Arts and Design Team, assisting in the production and preparation of a wide variety of print and display projects used throughout the marketplace.
At the conclusion of the internship, Muller, Inc. will provide a formal letter of reference outlining the intern’s exposure, responsibilities, and professional development during the program.
Position Overview
This internship provides hands-on exposure to professional graphic production workflows, including:
Design preparation
Print production
Material preparation
Vinyl cutting and application
Large-format printing processes
Production finishing
Interns will assist the Graphic Arts team in ensuring that all printed and produced materials meet professional production standards before being delivered into the market.
This role offers students the opportunity to experience the technical side of graphic design and production, not just digital design work.
What You Will Learn & Experience
Graphic Production Operations
Assist the design team with file setup and production preparation for a variety of print and graphic projects
Maintain and organize the print queue for volume printing projects
Prepare files submitted by the design team for production output
Learn professional large-format printing workflows
Graphic Finishing & Production
Cutting, lamination, weeding, and finishing of printed graphics
Application of finished graphics and vinyl to various substrates
Proper handling and usage of media, including vinyl and specialty materials
Quality control of finished products prior to distribution
Production work requires an eagle eye and strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and professional output.
Design Support (Basic Exposure)
Interns may assist with very basic layout adjustments on a PC platform using:
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
VersaWorks
Graphic design experience is a plus but not required, as the primary focus of this internship is production execution and workflow exposure.
Production Shop Operations
Operate light shop tools such as drills and saws when preparing graphic displays
Assist with graphic mounting and installation preparation
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
Support the team in meeting daily production deadlines
Interns will learn how professional graphic production teams balance design quality with operational speed and efficiency.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled college student (Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student preferred)
Majoring in:
Graphic Design
Visual Communications
Graphic Arts Production
Digital Media
Marketing / Creative Media
Related creative fields
Additional qualifications:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Strong multitasking ability
Effective communication skills
Organized and dependable work habits
Basic computer literacy required
Basic Adobe Creative Suite exposure preferred but not required
