Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Teacher

The Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is looking for a full-time Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and/or Certified Speech Teacher to join our team! The successful candidate will provide service to students with moderate to severe disabilities in integrated settings. Experience supporting students with intellectual disabilities and knowledge of assistive technology is preferred. This is a 10-month position, following the school calendar, with an opportunity to work over the summer.

Responsibilities:

• Develop therapy and treatment plans for students with speech disorders
• Implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders
• Establish treatment goals and milestones with students
• Update student progress to relevant parties

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in speech therapy
• Familiarity with communication disorders
• Ability to build rapport with students, colleagues and families
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive and patient demeanor
