Job Title: Civil Engineer

Department: Civil Engineering

Location: New York City (Hybrid)

Reports to: Founder/President

Insight Civil is seeking to find a project engineer who will be responsible for the application of civil engineering principles to assigned projects, either as a team leader or functioning independently. This position involves project scheduling (understanding, creating, modifying, identifying the critical path), preparing and reviewing cost estimates, and client coordination. Requires sufficient professional experience and is a hands-on technical career-track position.

 

Essential Skills:

  • 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering
  • 3+ years of experience using AutoCAD
  • Must be able to perform independent research, coordination and plan processing procedures with public agencies and utilities
  • Ability to prepare technical reports, engineer's cost and quantity estimates and specifications, SWPPP and NPDES reports a plus
  • Must have excellent letter and report writing skills and strong oral presentation skills
  • Work in a team environment

 

Education:

  • BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience

 

Certifications/Licenses:

  • New York registered Professional Engineer (PE) required

 

Non-Essential Skills:

  • Involvement in professional organizations such as ASCE, PWC, WTS, etc.

Pay Range: 

  • Full-time (40 hours per week), $95,000 – $120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and education.
