The Role
TAG’s Australia practice seeks a highly motivated DC-based Associate or Senior Associate to support clients – ranging from Fortune 100 multinationals to innovative startups – for success in established and emerging markets across the Indo-Pacific region. Our team is a diverse mix of partners, senior advisors, and talent with extensive backgrounds in government, the private sector, and the military.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field such as international relations, political science, or economics.
- Significant professional experience in Australian and/or Indo-Pacific economic and political issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian politics, policy, and regulatory environment and Australia’s relationships in the Indo-Pacific and with the United States.
- Outstanding research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail, motivation, and ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- For Senior Associate, experience in client servicing, project management, and/or business development;
- Team player with positive and professional attitude, eager for professional development, and open to learning.
- Can-do attitude and willingness to support critical client matters and internal tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and integrate public policy with corporate strategy, including use of tech tools for efficiency.
- Flexibility with respect to working and communication hours, particularly when coordinating with clients and team members in Australia and other TAG offices in the region.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s or professional degree and 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Network of pertinent relationships in Australia or the region.
- Experience in government relations or comparable experience.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and are expected to work in-person at the TAG DC office five days per week. TAG provides competitive benefits, including premium health insurance, generous paid time off, 401(k) matching, and commuter allowances, with regular training opportunities available to its employees.
