Job Summary
The Caregiver provides non-medical in-home support services to clients, companionship and assisting with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Varies based on assigned clients)
- Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, tidying living areas)
- Provide medication reminders
- Accompany clients to appointments and errands as needed
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or mental condition
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
