Field Organizer – Idaho Democratic Party
Background:
The Idaho Democratic Party is hiring Field Organizers for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign to help elect Democrats in battleground districts and expand the volunteer base. Field Organizers will work under the supervision of the Field Director and will be assigned to a designated legislative district to maximize voter engagement and turnout throughout the 2026 election cycle. This is a temporary, full-time position running from June 2026, through November 2026. This role will be based in Legislative District 15 (Boise, Idaho).
Roles & Responsibilities
● Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, canvassing, and other voter-contact activities.
● Consistently meet weekly and quarterly outreach metrics and maintain strong performance under pressure.
● Build and maintain a robust volunteer infrastructure and strong familiarity with the district to ensure a successful Get Out the Vote (GOTV) program in November 2026.
● Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with county party officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
● Provide timely daily/weekly reports on voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and event data to the Field Director.
● Collaborate with HQ staff, candidate teams, and Democratic Party staff statewide to implement coordinated campaign goals.
● Plan, schedule, and recruit for weekly volunteer events within your assigned district.
● Recruit, train, and manage paid canvassing staff throughout the 2026 campaign cycle.
● Work closely with other Field Organizers, candidates, county parties, campaign staff, and partner organizations to execute a unified, strategic statewide program.
Job Requirements
● Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).
● Experience with VoteBuilder and MiniVAN preferred.
● Full availability required for the final two weeks leading up to Election Day.
● Strong training, communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced campaign environment.
● Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
● Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license; travel within the district is required.
● Must be willing to relocate to the assigned district.
● A positive attitude and a strong commitment to electing Democrats across Idaho.
Compensation
● Salary: $50,000-$55,000 annually
● Severance: Three weeks of severance pay following the end of employment term on November 6, 2026.
● Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, 3% employer-paid retirement contribution, and monthly computer and phone stipends.
