Administrative Assistant

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The FSM Operations & Administration department works across all business units and office locations, with a focus on integrating and managing internal processes within the day-to-day functions of the organization. The Boston office supports a range of strategic priorities for Fenway Sports Group (FSG), including partnership sales efforts that generate significant revenue for the portfolio and departments that emphasize optimizing FSG’s existing business performance as well as leading the execution of strategic transactions and growth initiatives.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will be responsible for the administrative support of two Senior Vice Presidents who oversee the Strategy & Portfolio Operations and Corporate Development/M&A departments, as well as supporting the Operations & Administration team cross-functionally. This individual will work closely with team members across various departments, including Strategy & Portfolio Operations, Corporate Development/M&A and Partnership Sales.

The base salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000 based on relevant experience. Additionally, this position qualifies for annual incentive pay along with our comprehensive benefits package.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administrative support for two Senior Vice Presidents, overseeing their travel logistics, calendar management, monthly expense reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support preparation for leadership and team meetings, including agenda-setting, materials distribution, and capturing follow-ups as requested.
  • Maintain an intimate understanding of operations and priorities of the Strategy & Portfolio Operations and Corporate Development/M&A teams.
  • Assist with coordination of logistics for all FSM/FSG externally hosted events.
  • Hold a high level of maturity and confidence dealing with Senior Leadership at FSM & FSG properties, as well as external clients and prospects.
  • Build strong relationships with employees at all levels.

CHARACTERISTICS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in an administrative/support role, with a preference for a sales, entertainment or sports agency setting.
  • Dynamic personality with desire to promote and cultivate a strong team culture & environment.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a group setting.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Impeccable time management and organizational aptitude.
  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience and comfortability interacting with senior stakeholders both internally & externally.
  • Desire to integrate with a broad cross-section of functional internal teams.
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft 365 (including Office, Word, Excel, PPT, OneDrive and Teams).
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel as requested.
