Automotive Service (Fixed Operations) Intern / Apprentice

Cable Dahmer Automotive Group is seeking motivated students who are currently enrolled in an automotive, business, or related program and looking to gain hands-on experience in a dealership service environment. This internship/apprenticeship provides exposure to the day-to-day operations of a high-volume automotive service department and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced technicians, advisors, and service managers.

This role is designed to be flexible for students, with part-time or full-time hours depending on school schedules and availability.

Pay: $15–$17 per hour

What You’ll Learn

How a dealership service department operates

Basic service lane workflow and repair order process

Customer service and service advisor responsibilities

Technician workflow and shop operations

Parts department coordination

Warranty and repair documentation

Dealership systems and processes

Responsibilities

Assist service advisors and service staff with daily operations

Observe and support technician workflow in the shop

Help maintain organization in the service drive and shop areas

Assist with vehicle intake, documentation, and service processes

Learn dealership service software and processes

Provide general support to service and parts teams as needed

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an automotive, technical, or related program

Interest in pursuing a career in automotive service, parts, or dealership operations

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Reliable transportation and ability to work in a dealership environment

Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
